American Legion Turns to Fix8 Media to Build Squarespace Website for Theater

New Squarespace Website for Hollywood Drive-in Theater

Boulder-based Fix8 Media Squarespace and Duda website designers have had the privilege of working with American Legion posts across the country to build websites that serve their membership. Following the completion of a new Squarespace website for Hollywood Post 43, Fix8 Media was again engaged to build a Squarespace website that would be used exclusively for promoting the Hollywood Legion theater.

Housed in a 90-year-old Egyptian Revival-style Post building, the theater is a gorgeous venue for a variety of occasions. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, attention has shifted away from the indoor venue and toward a drive-in option at the Post. Due to the ease of the Squarespace website tools, the Legion leaders were able to re-work the website to focus on the drive-in, showcasing a calendar of movies with tickets available for purchase on the Squarespace commerce website.

Built in the Squarespace Mercer template, the Hollywood Legion Theater website is a wonderful example of how flexible Squarespace is to the needs of the customer. The home page makes use of the Squarespace Announcement Bar to highlight the drive-in experience, while a calendar of movies takes center stage. The commerce feature enables visitors to reserve their spot at the drive in quickly and easily, while a mailing list opt-in captures email addresses to keep patrons informed of upcoming showtimes and events.

The theater website is a wonderful addition to the Hollywood Post 43 Squarespace membership website, further showcasing the offerings of this deeply rooted organization.
