On Thanksgiving Day 2015, Fix8 Media announced the winner of our first-ever Squarespace website giveaway: Debbie’s Treasure Chest in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
After a few months of hard work and collaboration between the Debbie’s and Fix8 teams, we are pleased to reveal the nonprofit’s beautiful new Squarespace website! Debbie’s Treasure Chest helps at-risk children through cash and in-kind donations. Since 2007, the DTC team has helped more than 2,000 families by collecting and distributing clothing, books, and toys. Annually, Debbie’s Treasure Chest hosts a coat drive for local children in need, as well as holiday toy and wish drives supported by the local fire and police departments.
Debbie’s applied to win a free Squarespace website because their old site wasn’t very user-friendly, and they wanted a new site that would better enable donors and social workers to reach out and connect. Not only is the new DTC Squarespace website extremely intuitive, its built-in Squarespace donation functionality will enable Debbie’s to further its mission of helping families in need. This is an aspect of the Squarespace toolset that is especially attractive to nonprofit organizations.
In addition to forms for gathering information and taking applications, the organization’s new Squarespace website tailored to the needs of nonprofits offers a number of ways for interested parties to get involved and help.
We’re so thrilled to have been a part of this experience—donating our time to help a 100% volunteer organization run by kids who want to help other kids build an awesome new Squarespace website to spread the word.
Paying it forward,
The Fix8 Media Team
