New Duda Restaurant and Bar Website Features Dynamic Menus for Food and Beer, Commerce, and More
If there’s one Squarespace to Duda website transition that truly showcases the power of the Duda platform, it’s Trophy Brewing. Our talented Fix8 Media Duda website designers collaborated closely with the Trophy team to ensure all of their needs were met with the redesign, which combines robust commerce with dynamic menus and cutting edge design—all while keeping Google Core Web Vitals top of mind. A few key takeaways from this project include:
• Motion Video Background, which is currently only supported on desktop in Squarespace, is fully supported on desktop, tablet, and mobile in Duda—connecting visitors immediately with the communal vibe of Trophy Brewing’s many locations.
• Duda commerce enables Trophy to sell both its beer and merchandise to consumers everywhere. The store is configured to ship brews to specific locations where legal, while merch can go virtually everywhere (except maybe Mars, for now).
• For those looking to get a little geekier, this awesome new Duda website takes advantage of the Duda Flex Sections, which can be seen on the home page grid for the four Trophy locations, as well as on the contact page.
• The Trophy team has the need to constantly update its drink menus—and Duda has the answer in the form of the handy Dynamic Pages. Now, virtually anyone on the team can update the menus easily in a Google Sheet, and that change be automatically reflected on the website!
But don’t just take our word for the amazing look and performance of the new Trophy Brewing Duda website. A quick Google Lighthouse test proves that this new iteration of the website is light years above its predecessor in terms of speed, best practices, and SEO juice.
“With most of the Squarespace to Duda transitions we complete here at Fix8, we end up using a handful of the wonderful features available in the Duda platform,” says Fix8 Media Creative Director Josh Neimark. “Here, we’ve pretty much used them all, taking the Trophy Brewing website to a new level. No longer beholden to the customization limits of the Squarespace platform, we were able to deliver not only aesthetic improvements that better integrate the company’s brand elements, but also improve the website performance by leaps and bounds.”
